Name: Elayne Cloud
Rank: Sub-Lieutenant
Affiliation: Guardian Force
Assignment: Lan
Specialty: Science
Home World: Glas Dinnein
Family: Granddaughter of Admiral Ron Cloud, Chief of Guardian Force Intelligence
Elayne Cloud is a young Guardian Force science officer serving aboard Lan. Darrell describes her as blonde, with brilliant blue eyes, attractive, and possessing an expression that reflects both youth and intelligence.
Despite being the granddaughter of one of Guardian Force's most powerful senior officers, Elayne deliberately keeps that relationship private. She asks Ron not to reveal their connection because she does not want his position influencing how she is treated or how she advances within Guardian Force. Ron respects her wishes and believes even Captain Kellon is unaware of their relationship.
That gives us an important piece of her character. Elayne wants to be judged on her own ability, not on the Cloud name or her grandfather's influence.
As a science specialist aboard Lan, she becomes part of the crew involved in the extraordinary events surrounding the discovery of Earth and humanity's connection to Glas Dinnein. Her position places her directly inside one of the most consequential missions in Guardian history.
Core character traits established by the books: intelligent, independent, professionally ambitious, discreet, and determined to establish herself on her own merits.
Visual reference: young blonde woman, brilliant blue eyes, Guardian Force uniform. The portrait you've created fits Darrell's written description very closely.
