Name: Susie Wells
Origin: Earth
Role: Earth’s First Ambassador to Glas Dinnein
Companion: Gepeto
Computer/AI: William
Susie Wells becomes one of the most important bridges between Earth and Guardian Force. Curious, independent, and skeptical, she is already investigating unexplained extraterrestrial activity before first contact, traveling across the world and gathering evidence for herself.
Her persistence eventually leads to communication with Shey and a remarkable first meeting with Commander Roan. Susie is cautious but quick to recognize when the evidence supports trust. When Roan invites her aboard his spacecraft, she accepts with one condition: Gepeto comes too.
Roan recognizes in Susie the qualities that define her throughout the story: courage, intelligence, adaptability, insight, and an adventurous love of life.
Susie and Gepeto
Gepeto is far more than Susie’s pet. He is her companion, protector, and friend. He accompanies her aboard Shey, Lan, and eventually to Glas Dinnein. Guardian Force recognizes that relationship as well, formally describing Gepeto as “a friend of the Ambassador.”
Earth’s First Ambassador
Aboard Lan, Susie receives the honors normally given to a visiting planetary ambassador. By the end of Guardian Force, that title becomes official when she arrives on Glas Dinnein as Earth’s first Ambassador.
Surrounded by thousands on an alien world, Susie feels unexpectedly at home. Looking down at Gepeto, she simply says:
“Hey buddy, I think they like us.”
Core Character: Intelligent. Curious. Independent. Courageous. Adaptable. Adventurous. Skeptical when necessary, but willing to trust when the evidence earns it.
